About Product Popcorn

Hello! I'm Kimberly, and I'm a product manager.

I'm a product manager who doesn't stop thinking about thinking about product management on the weekends... or really, ever.

A few things you should know about me:

  • I'm fascinated by technology (obviously) - the future of data and all its applications, simple automation, as well as machine learning & AI - and thus I'm also constantly worrying about robots taking over the world. (I'm talking Westworld style. It's only a matter of time, people! I'm serious.)
  • I follow freefolk on Reddit and will spoil Game of Thrones for you if you aren't caught up. You've been warned.
  • If you advertise a new product to me on Facebook, there's a 99% chance I'll buy it.

Where I am: I live and work in Colorado, and I'm fairly certain that it's the best place on earth. (And I've lived in a lot of places.)

Greatest accomplishment: One LinkedIn recommendation described my sweet tooth as "the stuff of absolute legend," and this is what I'm most proud of.

What I do at work: For the past several years I've worked on enterprise software (I call myself 'product manager, data products'), but I've also produced small websites and apps in many different industries.

What am I most likely doing right now: If I'm not managing my product, I am most likely roaming the streets of Denver or Boulder, mauling small puppies and large dogs alike, or stealing snacks from unsuspecting coworkers. I know where all their secret stashes are.

For me, being a product manager doesn't stop on the weekends. When I'm out and about doing everyday things, I am still thinking about end-to-end user experience, and why things were built the way they were. I also write a lot about the way things are going to be in the (near-ish) future.

The Product Popcorn blog and podcast are where I document my rants and share them with you.

A note about red pandas...

I love red pandas. If you dislike red pandas, we probably won't get along. I mean, look at this thing. It's freaking adorable. One might argue, it's the most adorable animal that ever lived. Have you ever seen a red panda play in the snow, or with a ball? It will make a bad day wonderful. Follow me on Instagram if you want to see more of this.
